Welcome to Peace Lily’s Pet Crematorium

In loving memory of Lily

Peace Lily’s Pet Crematorium is the legacy of our family’s beloved dog Lily. When she unfortunately passed away, we had to drive for over an hour and a half to have her cremated, making for a heartbreaking and traumatic experience.

Thus, in 2022, we decided to found North Devon’s first and only local pet crematorium to save other grieving pet owners and families the heartache of enduring the long drive to locations outside of North Devon for an impersonal cremation.

Peace Lily’s Pet Crematorium is located on the beautiful family farm in Shirwell, Barnstaple, with stunning views of Dartmoor and Exmoor on a sunny day.

Meet The Team

Amy

With over 21 years in the veterinary industry, having qualified in 2006 with NVQ Level 3 in Veterinary Nursing, I am qualified to comprehensively assist you throughout the bereavement process, from the perspective of a RCVS registered veterinary nurse, trained bereavement support worker, and a mother.
As well as running Peace Lilys, I am a Mum to two boys – Fred and Milo. We mustn’t forget the fur child, dear little Alfie!
We founded Peace Lilys when our beloved dog, Lily, unfortunately passed away. We had to drive for over an hour and a half to have her cremated, making for a heartbreaking and traumatic experience.
Thus, in 2022, We decided to found North Devon’s first and only local pet crematorium to save other grieving pet owners and families the heartache of enduring the long drive to locations outside of North Devon for an impersonal cremation.
I am extremely grateful for the support from all of Peace Lilys clients, past, present and future, as well as the support from my colleagues, friends and family. Without all of you, providing such a unique and wonderful service, wouldn’t be possible.

Carly

I am an experienced small animal vet, and have been working in clinical practice for 16years. I have always felt very strongly that saying goodbye to our beloved pets should be as dignified and peaceful as possible. For many people this means at home euthanasia, allowing their pet to be as relaxed as possible and passing in familiar safe surroundings. I am proud to work alongside Peace Lily’s to provide a compassionate and loving last goodbye at home.

Pauline

I have been working as a small animal vet for 32 years and moved to Exmoor to spend more time with my menagerie of pets. As a lifelong pet owner, I know how much our pets enhance our lives and strongly feel that a “good death” is as important as a good life. I have always put my own pets to sleep at home, in their own surroundings where they are happiest and most relaxed. I feel privileged to be able to offer this same service alongside Peace Lily’s – a kinder end for our best friend.
Thank you Pauline, for being a wonderful addition to the Peace Lilys team.

Bob & Pip

Many of you would have met Bob – My Dad! Bob spends a lot of time on the farm, working on projects and keeping himself busy.
But he has also taken on such a vital role within Peace Lilys, answering calls, greeting you all, and taking care of your beloved pets.
Pictured here with Bob, is Pip – My Mum! Pip also likes to spend time at home, looking after her lovely dog, Wilma, her five pet sheep and five pet ducks! Pip also helps here at Peace Lilys, collecting pets – either from their homes or following euthanasia at your veterinary practice, to come on their final journey with us.

I am sure you’ll agree, these two scrub up rather well! I am grateful for you both
